Chris Brown Arrested For Allegedly Smashing A Tequila Bottle Over The Head Of A Music Producer And "Ruthlessly Stomping" On Him In A London Nightclub

Chris Brown was taken into custody in Manchester, England, on Thursday on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. The arrest stems from a 2023 incident at a London nightclub in which the R&B singer allegedly struck music producer Abe Diaw with a tequila bottle, according to The Sun.

Diaw previously filed a lawsuit against Brown, claiming the singer “beat[sic] him over the head” with a bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila, then proceeded to “ruthlessly stomp” on him. As a result, Diaw says he “suffered severe and lasting injuries,” including lacerations on his head and torn ligaments in his leg.

Nobody has tested the limits of, "How far can being attractive, having a great voice, and dancing sexily make up for the fact that I'm an abhorrent person", like Chris Brown has. 

To his "credit" (that seems like a bad word to use), Chris Brown has rode his god-given talents lightyears further than he ever should have been allowed to. His rap sheet is legitimately insane. It just keeps going. He just keeps doing terrible things, and people just keep not really giving a shit. He's continued appearing on major songs under major labels. His music continues being played at shopping malls, high school dances, in the headphones of young children, long after he beat the shit out of the beautiful and universally beloved pop star that is Rihanna. He milked his voice of an angel for as much piece of shit behavior as it was worth. In some ways, I'm sure him being a horrible person may have even made him more likeable to some. 

People love a bad boy. As long as that bad boy is kept at minimum 2 state lines away from their wife, children, loved ones, or any human being they care about whatsoever at all times. Because if you so much as cross paths with Chris Brown on the sidewalk, I think there's conservatively a 30% chance he bashes your teeth in with a baseball bat for no reason at all. 

This isn't the last we'll hear of Chris Brown either. Not by a long shot. It almost doesn't make sense how much he's been able to overcome. I know talent takes your far. I know Manny Ramirez pushed a traveling secretary down a flight of stairs and was batting clean-up the next day. But Chris Brown has always seemed like an outlier to me. He isn't THAT great of an artist. He's got some good songs. He's an attractive guy. He probably does the worm really well. But I don't think he's this completely unique, one-of-a-kind, unreplacable talent. It's not like he wrote Ignition (Remix). Any Chris Brown song could easily be replaced by a guy like Tory Lanez. Well... shit. No. He's in prison too. Well not right now. Right now he's recovering in a hospital after being stabbed in prison 14 times. 

Tory Lanez is a little busy right now. What about a guy like Trey Songz. I feel like anything a record label, or another artist has for Chris Brown could be given to Trey Songz, and the song would probably do just as well.

Actually… fuck. Looks like Trey Songz has a domestic violence charge as well. Also allegedly fought a cop at the AFC Championship game once. God damn it. He's still got nowhere close to the rap sheet of Chris Brown, but maybe he's not the best choice either. What about the guy who fucked Will Smith's wife? That August Alsina dude. I'm actually reading now that Torey Lanez assaulted him once too. Small world.

I do see a separate incident where August Alsina allegedly brandished a gun at some fans while in a grocery store. But I also read that August has a genetic liver disease. Brandishing a weapon at fans and liver disease cancel each other out. Let's just start giving any work that was going to Chris Brown to August "The Guy Who Fucked Will Smith's Wife" Alsina. 

Look, nobody is perfect. But almost everybody is a better person than Chris Brown. We can't keep letting Chris Brown get away with this.
