Someone's Gotta Tell Kylie Jenner That The Job Isn't Finished And a Mid-Series Beach Vacation Is Unacceptable

As the minutes tick by we get closer and closer to Game 5 of the Knicks and Celtics 2nd round playoff series. New York is on the precipice of something great with the potential for history not too far down the road. What's building here is fucking crazy and it honestly doesn't feel real.

Now let me be the first to say that it's been a pleasure to have Kylie Jenner hop on the Knick bandwagon and cheer with her diehard boyfriend Timothée Chalamet during every playoff game.

And before the fandom police come out to take her to the brink I feel compelled to remind you that bandwagon fans make sports extra awesome, not worse. Of course the diehards are the heartbeat, but when the playoffs roll around we'll take anyone we can get to will the boys across the finish line. That mob scene on 7th avenue after every game doesn't happen without the bandwagoners joining the party. When the playoffs roll around they gather with us and join forces for one common goal. Kylie being part of that mission is fantastic for multiple reasons. Two come right to mind.

But here's where I gotta put my foot down. Today I was scrolling Instagram when I came across Kylie posting a series of beach bikini pics with the caption "vacation ky activated." She doesn't let her IG get embedded on blogs like the one you're reading so we go to Twitter for the evidence.

While those pics are great and surely nothing I would scoff at on a normal day, I gotta ask Kylie a simple question: what the fuck are you doing?

Uhhh hey, Kylie, tonight is Game 5. I know Game 4 was incredible and the energy from that win was unbelievable, but this ain't over. Sure, the Knicks currently hold a commanding 3-1 lead and Jayson Tatum is out for the year, but crazier things have happened than the Celtics coming back and advancing. Dave Portnoy's devil magic should never be doubted. Is it unlikely? Sure, but nothing is a guarantee in the sports world. I can't have you taking your foot off the gas pedal and assuming this thing is over. I NEED YOU LOCKED IN KYLIE. Boston is plenty good enough to force this to Game 6 without Tatum. They're a 4.5 point favorite for crying out loud. I get you're new to the Knicks scene and trying your best, but I need more focus. What if the Knicks lose tonight? Do you have a plane ready to go, fueled for a flight back to NYC so you're in MSG for Game 6? We can't be letting our guard down.

Maybe I'm too paranoid and should just subscribe to the Kylie method. Am I in the wrong? Does her mid-series vacation show her extreme confidence in the team? She was there court-side on Monday, maybe she saw some flaws in their non-Tatum rotations that solidify a victory tonight. She took one look at KP's health and didn't give them a chance. I'm naturally gonna be more apprehensive, which I imagine Timothee is as well heading into tonight. No shot he's at the beach. Tonight we go back to war to finish the job.

P.S. Dying laughing at Spreewell just letting it fly and letting everyone know how he feels about Kylie
