Dave Portnoy Just Gave His Highest Pizza Review Score Since 2023 And Now There's A Line Stretching 1000 Blocks In NYC

This 100% could go toe-to-toe with Johns of Bleecker, as good as anything I've had in Manhattan, this could live in New Haven. Different type of pizza but this is... I'm gonna take out the 9... Can't remember the last time I gave out a 9+

Honestly never thought I'd see John's of Bleecker Street face such fierce competition from a One Bite score. Anytime Dave Portnoy goes over 9.0 on a pie, the Hall of Fame rumors start flying all around. And at the very least an All-Pro pizza like that immediately becomes a MUST TRY spot, with people suddenly willing to travel hours just to try it.

In droves of hundreds, and thousands.

Deservedly so when it's a 7 foot tall alpha male telling you to do it.

But you're already behind on booking a trip to NYC for this one. Just 12 hours later this is what the line for Ceres looks like on a rainy afternoon.

THIS is what The Tastemaker does.

Also laugh-out-loud funny that a Twitter account dedicated to gaming news reported on Dave's score in such a Big J way. I've only ever seen Fortnite & Streamer updates from them. Just goes to show how barrier breaking & influential our fearless leader is on this cold world.

Portnoy truly transcends race, religion, content genres… You name it. I'm just grateful to get his high priced pizza knowledge, FREE of charge. Is it possible for a man to be TOO selfless?

Here's a refresher on the John's of Bleecker review, which did have lines out the door long before Dave went there. Probably a big benefit having the only coal fired oven in Manhattan.

Definitely worth a 3+ hour drive though.

Congrats to the crew at Ceres for all their hard work paying off. Now they'll just have to invest in a bouncer and maybe a bigger location ASAP. Mouth watering stuff happening over there whether it's their pizza or the sandwiches.

Also it's absolute banana land they've only been open since January 18. And those two ex chefs have pulled it off using ONLY their credit cards. That's next level dedication to the tomato sauce game.

What a story for the boys!
