The Commanders Whooping The Cowboys Asses On Christmas Is Going To Be The Best Present Of All
I wrote yesterday that we better start getting used to seeing Jayden and the Commanders a lot. Like, a lot a lot. Similar to how no matter when you turn on your TV the Chiefs have had a televised football games, that is the Commies now. And it turns out I might have undersold just how many prime time games we will have.
So far we know week 2 is TNF at Green Bay, week 11 in Madrid, week 16 vs Philly on Saturday, and week 17 vs Cowboys on Christmas. And now here's where it gets interesting- the Madrid game and the Christmas game don't technically count as prime time games, so we can still have as many as 6 "official" prime timers, bringing the total up to 8 nationally televised games, and that's before we count the CBS/Fox "games of the week". If you were trying to avoid seeing Jayden Daniels this season, you're shit out of luck. He's gonna be EVERYWHERE.
As a selfish fan, I hate this, obviously. I want as many 1pm Sunday games as possible. Let them keep the same routine, practice schedule, etc. But when you have an exciting young QB the league is trying to market, this is what happens. 8 nationally televised games is absolutely buh-nan-as, no matter who you are.
The full schedule comes out at 8pm tonight, but I'm sure it'll be leaked by then. This whole schedule process is diabolical from the NFL- the way it's a full week event just to announce the games is why the NFL is king.
PS: The fact the Cowboys have to play on Thanksgiving and Christmas is diabolical. Poor Cowboys fans, not only do they have to watch their shitty team, but now the two best holidays are ruined for them too. A real shame.
