We're Getting A 6-Part Documentary Series About The Chiefs From Last Season That's Basically The Football Version Of 'The Last Dance'

I don't think it's a surprise that the Chiefs are getting a documentary. Everyone who wins a lot gets a documentary, hell you don't even need to win a lot to get a documentary. Sunderland, who I blogged about earlier, had a documentary about them when they were getting relegated. But why are we getting the whole Last Dance feel when they are just running it back this season?

That's where it gets weird. This feels like maybe you dedicate a couple years to following them around and putting out the last dance feel when Kelce retires? He's the one who is close to that stage, Mahomes feels like he's going to be around for another decade. Not to mention, the ending is going to suck. It was one of the more boring Super Bowl's we had and it's always fuck the Eagles.

I will say, of course I'm going to watch this. You put a sports documentary in front of me I'm going to watch it, pretty simple rules in my household. But we're starting to reach the bubble bursting on these things. You can't have a new documentary come out every 3 weeks it feels like. We have every sport covered from F1 to horse racing to NBA to NFL and everything else. It also feels like something along these lines will just keep making Hard Knocks feel irrelevant. I don't care if it made my Giants look like a bunch of dipshits, the best Hard Knocks to have is the offseason one.

It's a 6-part documentary, which feels entirely too much. The Chiefs season basically just starts in the postseason these past 5 years or whatever. I say that, because we need at least one episode of just Andy Reid constantly going on a Guy Fieri food tour in Kansas City breaking it all down. I'd watch that.
