The First Two Days Of The Sean "Diddy" Combs Trial Have Been Off To A Wild Start, Including "Freak-Off" Testimony Of Male Escorts Nicknamed "The Punisher" And Inflatable Kiddie Pools Filled With Baby Oil

The first two days of Sean "Diddy" Combs' federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial are in the books, and they’ve been heavy.

What comes as no surprise to anbody, it's been an absolute circus outside the courthouse, right from the jump.

In a case that’s been looming like a dark cloud over the entertainment world, the opening statements and testimony are already laying bare the complicated, disturbing dynamics behind the music mogul’s public image.

This girl I've known online for a couple of years, Emilie Hagen, is documenting the trial each day, showing up to Moynihan U.S. Courthouse in Manhattan each day, and recording her downloads outside during recess stoppages. She's doing a great job so far and is worth the follow if you're interested in this case.

Day one, which began Monday morning, was all about setting the tone. Prosecutors came out swinging, calling Diddy "the architect of a criminal empire disguised as a record label."

They painted a picture of a man who used his power, money, and access to manipulate, abuse, and control.

From alleged drug-fueled orgies, famously labeled "freak-offs", to threats of releasing revenge porn to silence victims, they didn’t pull any punches.

One of the things I wrote about in my preview blog on Monday morning was wondering the following -

Barstool Sports - One of the biggest things I have been trying to read up on pertaining to this case is just what in the fuck Diddy's defense is going to be?

I understand how well great lawyers play the game. But even the greatest of the greats would have a difficult time representing a guy who has mountains of concrete evidence stacked against him. So how exactly do they plan to maneuver through all that?

Well, according to what I've read, Combs' defense strategy centers on portraying his actions as part of a consensual “swinger” lifestyle rather than criminal conduct. His legal team argues that the sexual encounters, including the so-called “Freak Offs,” were consensual events involving adults who willingly participated in these gatherings.

They're really going to say he was part of a swinger community, where everybody just enjoyed free and open sex, drugs, and that he and Cassie were in a mutually-abusive relationship.

And the experts were right, because that's exactly what they've done.

Rather than attempt to take this angle that Diddy is an innocent man who's being wrongly accused, they're playing the cards that he was a freak, who was into some really freaky shit, and everybody who participated and played along knew what they signed up for and were also into some freaky shit.

Or at least that's how it appears this early -

His attorneys say that his lifestyle "may have been wild, but it wasn’t illegal."

Their stance is that everything was consensual between adults, and that Diddy’s ex, Cassie Ventura, the government’s key witness, wasn’t a victim. She was "an equal participant" as they claimed.

They’re even suggesting she was at times violent toward him.

The jury, is a colorful cast of characters finally locked in after some chaotic selection days (one juror admitted to shoplifting a wand from Harry Potter World, another got the boot for binge-watching Star Wars instead of filling out paperwork), was sworn in and ready just in time for the real action to begin. 18 in total- 12 official jurors, and 6 alternates in case any are removed or relieved of their duty as American citizens. 6 females, and 12 males. All college educated (to some degree).

Then came Tuesday, and it hit like a brick wall. Cassie Ventura took the stand and gave emotional, graphic testimony about her relationship with Combs. Her voice reportedly shook as she described years of alleged abuse. She told about being forced into sex acts with male escorts while Combs watched, being dragged and stomped on, being isolated and controlled. One of the regular ones in particular being nicknamed, "The Punisher" by Combs for reasons I will let your imagination decide.

According to courtroom reporters, we're only two days in, we're on the tip of the iceberg, and it's already more than apparent that Diddy is into some sick and twisted shit.

Like seriously, twisted and really wild shit…

While on the stand yesterday, Cassie pointed to the now infamous 2016 hotel surveillance video set to be a centerpiece of the case, as just one example of his violence.

She told the jury she went along with things "out of fear, not consent."

She said she "felt worthless, degraded, and scared". Her words reportedly stunned the courtroom. You could hear a pin drop those who were there said.

Today, the defense begins cross-examination of Cassie. They’ll try to unravel her credibility, suggest inconsistencies, and paint her not as a victim, but as a co-conspirator.

But for now, the prosecution is clearly in control of the narrative. And one thing is certain. This whole thing is going to get A LOT darker before it gets clearer.
