Nottingham Forest Owner Releases Statement That Is Full Michael Scott After Yelling At Manager On Field After Last Game

"To Evangelos Marinakis, this isn't just a football club -- it's family -- and he instills that message in all of us. That is why he was so personally and emotionally invested in the situation that unfolded at the City Ground on Sunday. His reaction was one of deep care, responsibility, and emotional investment in one of our own..."--Club Statement

I am sure the comment section haters in America will rush to comment how nobody cares...I care. WSD cares because he brought up Forest's demise on The Stretch yesterday.

An all-time official team statement. I laughed. I loved it. THIS is what I want from an owner. Passion and deflection. Control the narrative before it controls you. People love to shit on Marinakis. Not me. He is our beloved, billionaire version of Michael Scott. His only weakness is that he cares too much, works too hard, and is a little too emotionally invested in his club. I wish ALL owners cared as much as him. He was sad, angry, and frustrated after the game. So was I. He wanted Champions League. So did I. He cares about his players. So do I. I won't try to get in his head. I can only take him at his word. It doesn't matter that people like me probably think he would've personally drowned the injured player, Taiwo Awoniyi, in the river next to the stadium for one more goal in that game over the weekend. If all my teams owners cared as much as he does Chicago sports would be in a much better place.
