He's Back: Michael Jordan Is Joining NBA On NBC Next Year As A Special Contributor, Broke Out Roundball Rock For The Announcement

Hell yeah. If you're bringing back NBA on NBC there are few things you need. The first is Michael Jordan in some fashion. The second is making sure the games are some combo of Knicks, Bulls, Heat and Pacers. Pretty sure every game was those teams, maybe mix in a Jazz, Blazers or Sonics, which reminds me to bring back the Sonics. The last? Simple, when you announce the Michael Jordan move, you do it right after Roundball Rock:

Hit the music

It is weird that Jordan is doing this though, right? I assumed the only person he'd ever do a show with is Ahmad Rashad. He's not exactly made for TV, he's never really done TV. He ran a couple teams, kept to himself and kept making millions upon millions of dollars. But, nostalgia always plays. I say this as someone who lived and breathed the NBA during this era. You need to bring everyone back from that time. You can't just stop at Michael Jordan and Roundball Rock, I want Bob Costas doing essays before games. I want Mike Fratello calling games. I don't want any of this AI stuff, because it just creeps me out

Again, we don't know what special contributor means, but MJ will be in our lives. Hit the music again
