Your Daily Aaron Rodgers Rumor: A Pittsburgh Country Club Had To Deny That He Became A Member Because He's Planning On Signing With The Steelers

This is the perfect rumor from over the weekend. Whenever your team is linked to signing someone of note, doesn't matter the sport, you get the normal rumors. Some realtor says that person is house hunting, maybe it's the rumor of kids enrolling at the local school, or, of course, the rental car airport sighting that goes viral on Twitter. But now we have a country club denying that Aaron Rodgers is a member:

Nothing beats a good source off over a country club membership. That's the sort of offseason content that only quarterbacks can get away with it. I know everyone is assuming Rodgers is going to join the Steelers. There's a rumor that he's waiting to see the schedule and what time the Steelers play during the season. It's basically gotten to the point that we're getting a random Aaron Rodgers rumor 2-3 times a week and everyone just goes yep, that makes sense. You could say almost anything at this point and majority of people would probably just shake their head in agreement and move on.

However, this one hits close to home as a golfer. Yeah, you sign the membership before you sign with the team. If you love the course, are filthy rich, you join whatever clubs you want. You don't even have to stay at one course, join as many as you financially can. Never know where you'll be over the year and want to get out and play a round as much as possible. Smart by the club to say we'd love to have him. Smart business, get your name out there as THE Pittsburgh country club.
