Why Was Tom Cruise Just Standing On Top Of An IMAX Theater In London By Himself Yesterday?
It's go time, folks. We're less than two weeks away from the release of the final Mission Impossible movie ever. It's all happening. Every choice has led to this moment in time for the conclusion of Ethan Hunt's story. The greatest action movie franchise ever is ready to give us its swan song and I cannot wait.
In preparation for the big release, Tom Cruise and the rest of the cast have begun their world wide promo run. That involved Tom in London yesterday just standing on top of a giant IMAX theater. The man is cinema. He will die if it means delivering the best entertainment value to the big screen. He feels it his responsibility to save the movies and he's doing a great job between this franchise and Top Gun.
Okay, but why was his on top of a building just chilling by himself? Imagine going for a walk during the day and there's Tom jsut hanging out there staring off into the distance like he's trying to figure out how to stop a nuke from going off and cutting off Europe's water supply. Let's run through some scenarios.
1) This could very well be a man going through a mid-life crisis before our very eyes. It may have just hit him in that exact moment that this is Ethan Hunt's farewell. A part of him is about fade off into the existence and there's a chance he can't accept that.
2) We've long been convinced his life's mission is to die filming a movie. Maybe he was debating jumping off the top to create that added buzz this one needs to be a true monster. It is going up against the live action movie of Lilo and Stitch so we're gonna need every edge we can get to avoid repeating the Barbenheimer disaster that struck when Dead Reckoning came out at the exact same time and got crushed at the box office.
3) It's possible Tom Cruise is an actual IMF agent in real life and was engaged in a mission while in London. Would it shock you?
4) Perhaps he was looking for his new girlfriend Ana de Armas and decided to scan the city from a bird's eye view to track her down.
I'd get on top of a building for her as well.
5) Or I suppose he was doing some sort of sit down in London before a special viewing of Mission Impossible: Fallout and decided that was a cool way to hype it up. Could totally see Tom not telling anyone he was going to do this and just decided to climb a bunch of ladders on the outside to make it happen.
Gonna end up watching Fallout again tonight aren't I? Pound for pound the best action movie in history. That is until we get our eyes on this masterpiece.
