Uhh, Ya Think: A Report Claims Mike Tomlin Was The One Who Made The Call To Trade George Pickens Out Of Pittsburgh

This is probably the least shocking thing I've read. We all know the George Pickens trade happened, still think him and Dallas is going to be a hilarious combo. But, Mike Tomlin deciding enough is enough and being the one who shipped him out has me convinced even more it won't work in Dallas. Tomlin tried defending Pickens as much as he could, finally snapped and said he had to grow up:

It's still insane how Steelers WR's do fall off after leaving the team. Antonio Brown, Santonio Holmes, Diontae Johnson and even Mike Wallace (outside of 1 year with Baltimore).

So just based on history, you have to think the Steelers are fine with moving on from Pickens. Makes it even more believable when Pickens said he wanted to stay in Pittsburgh and didn't force a trade

Yeah, of course he didn't force his way out. That's why Mike Tomlin was ready to move on. It's not worth it and it's not like trading George Pickens is going to be some sort of rebuild. He's a good receiver, but he's not some superstar. He's a WR2. I can't wait for the first Jerry Jones postgame press conference defending something dumb Pickens does.
