SHOCKER: Report Claims UNC Has Banned Jordon Hudson From the Football Facility and Belichick's Family 'Has Been Digging Into Her as Well'

Some time ago, I was only too happy to report that first-year head coach of North Carolina Tar Heels football Bill Belichick was getting all the help any man could ask for from his able-bodied assistant Jordon Hudson:
I mean, what more could a coach hope for? Running a major football program is a massive undertaking. Far too big a job for any one person to handle, even the best football mind in the history of brains. Doing it successfully requires a lot of help. And the people alongside you on this journey need to be trusted confidants. Capable. Reliable. Sharing a vision with you. Devoted to the common goals you've established. Clear eyes, full hearts and all that. Fortunately for Bill, he has all that and more in this 24 year old go-getter. Villanova might have given the world Pope Leo XIV. But my alma mater Bridgewater State University gave UNC Jordon. And we're just as proud.
Though according to this latest report, Belichick's new employers don't see it that way:
Awful Announcing - On the latest episode of Pablo Torre Finds Out, the show’s host reported that Hudson has been banned from the Tar Heels’ football facility. Citing multiple UNC sources, Torre said that the decision was made by members of the university’s administration in the wake of Belichick’s viral interview with CBS Sunday Morning, which the 24-year-old Hudson interrupted to shut down a question regarding how her and the 73-year-old head coach first met.
“Two sources at the University of North Carolina tell me that there has been a decision that was made last week by the higher-ups inside the athletic department that had hired Bill Belichick to be the highest paid public employee — not just coach in the state of North Carolina at $10 million a year — and that decision was that Jordon Hudson, she is no longer allowed in the football building,” Torre said. “She is not allowed on the football field.” Quote: ‘Don’t think you’ll be hearing much from Jordon moving forward.'”

Torre also revealed, “Bill Belichick’s family is extraordinarily concerned by what has transpired. One Belichick family source told me, ‘There is deep worry for how detrimental Jordon can be for not just North Carolina but Bill’s legacy, reputation — everything he has built and worked for over decades.'”
He added: “In fact, the family has been digging into Jordon Hudson as well."
A man is being asked to choose between his career and woman? Between the thing he was born to do that has made him legendary, and the person who gives him love and fulfillment? Where have we heard this before?
How about everywhere. Forever. Tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme. It's the classic Work/Life Balance conundrum. At some point every great man reaches this inflection point. Where he has to choose between glory and the tender embrace of the woman he loves. Whether to sacrifice fame and fortune for true love, or the other way around. It's all a part of the Heroe's Journey Joseph Campbell spoke about and has been a central theme of every great story. As tragic as it is beautiful.
As far as UNC's actions here, what were they expecting? When they hired Belichick, they got the whole package. Now they want to take away the woman he calls his "muse"? Why not cut off his hand? Why not lobotomize him and remove that part of his brain that has total recall of obscure plays Ed Reed made 15 years ago and didactic memories of every player in the NFL's Top 100 (that he won an Emmy for)? As Rick Blaine tells Elsa at the end of Casablanca, "You're part of his work, the thing that keeps him going." Jordon is to Belichick what Elsa was to Lazlo. Shame on the great state of North Carolina if they're taking her away from him and still expecting him to lead them to a bowl game.

As far as the Belichick family - assuming this is true - still not trusting this relationship? That too is a part of every great love story ever told. Any time your parent gets into a romantic entanglement, you're going to be concerned. They're only looking out for one who's dating someone younger than they are. And coming from a place of love. Not without reason. If Hudson's slavish devotion to her man can alienate NFL Films:
And the good people at Dunkin's marketing department:
… it's only natural his family would be concerned. They're only looking out for his well being.
As far as where it goes from here, your guess is as good as mine. This is feeling very much like Act II of this romantic comedy. Act I included their "meet cute" on the plane and them keeping this relationship private for a while. It ended with them going public. Now we're at the part where the whole world is against it because they're so wrong for each other. But I sincerely believe that true love will win out in Act III. Bill will lead the Tar Heels to the National Championship game, and just as they're about to lose, she'll come running out to the sidelines in her white knee high boots, declare that no one - not even an entire US state - can keep them apart and inspire UNC to the natty. Music swells. The end. Roll credits.
Or, she might force him to choose between her and his job and force him to quit. Either way, I'm here for all of it. What a saga this is.
