Okay, yeah, he also is from Chicago:

But more importantly he went to Villanova. You know who else is from Chicago and went to Villanova?

No doubt in my mind this Pope is clutch. A little upset he picked Pope Leo, there's been plenty of Leo's. Go Pope Bobby or Pope Jalen or Pope Jay or Pope Leon. Anything really to tie it all in together. This is a win for America, the Knicks and Big East basketball twitter. I'll even throw in the World Cup. We're hosting the World Cup next year and have an American Pope? That's gotta count for something.

It's the playoffs. Even as a Catholic, I can't help but think the Knicks comeback was led by something bigger than the maniacs outside of MSG and Meek Phill's meteoric rise. Now you give us the Pope? We all know that the Knicks 2-0 lead is because of Villanova basketball (plus one Kentucky guy) and Mitchell Robinson, who was announced as from America when he got drafted. No doubt in my mind that the Pope could play 40 minutes if Thibs wants him to. Probably locks down on defense in the 4th too if need be.

So shout out Villanova, shout out Big East basketball, shout out the Knicks and shout out America. Congrats to Robert Prevost, Pope Leo XIV.
