Urban Meyer Says If You Lie To The NCAA, Your Career Should Be OVER

Well said, Coach.

It's one thing to illegally buy a cheeseburger for a recruit (Harbaugh has). It's another to delete text messages the day a story breaks (Sherrone has). It's another to steal signs and purchase tickets at opposing stadiums staring directly at the other team's sidelines and to start fake businesses in Wyoming with a player (Stalions has). And it's another to be use cheating to your advantage (Minter, Partidge, Harbaugh, Sherrone all have). But despite me being absolutely disgusted that a program would stoop that low, at least they did it in the name of trying to finally beat their rival for the first time in a century. HOWEVER, the one thing you cannot ever do, no matter what, is lie.

Say whatever you want about Urban. Call him a 3x Big Ten Champion. Call him a 2x SEC Champion. Call him a 3x National Champion. Call him a HALL OF FAMER. Even call him Mr. 7-0 vs. Michigan. Call him whatever you want! But the one thing this guy does not do is lie.

So yeah, I agree with Coach here. If you get caught, you fess up to it. I don't want lies, and I certainly don't want excuses. Face the problem head on that YOU created. And if you don't, there's no room for you in the most honest and integrity filled sport we have to offer: college football.
