This Dad Going To Extreme Lengths When Packing The Trunk Of His Car Should Be Celebrated Not Ridiculed
Absolutely love this video. I know TikTok gets shit for being addicting (it is) and privacy etc etc, but they got the algo fucking nailed. My timeline is somehow all interviews I'm interested in, old tv shows, and then stuff like this that seem to nail your niche. I feel like such a small portion of people connect with this so much, but the people that do love it. If you grew up in a suburban family you know how sacred family vacations were and everyone had their own spots, and you for sure drove to most. For us, we were a Hershey Park family. Other people in the neighborhood were LBI people, some were Cape May etc. All spots that our parents worked hard to pay for but were within reason cost wise as they were drivable spots.
Now with these drives comes the horrific task of packing up the car. Your dad was looking like he was going through war, and still had to drive the entire distance of the trip. It always felt like no matter when you thought you were done, more bags came out of the house and your dad had to readjust the entire car, getting more and more angry. You could never help him or he would get more mad. You just had to sit back and watch and pray it didn't end in absolute screaming match.
This dad measuring out each bag and precisely figuring out how to fit them in is genius. He's saving his family massive headaches and fights and time by planning this stuff out. Just think of how much smoother this car ride is going to go when he sits down and can just drive. Instead of getting in all sweaty and pissed off. This man should be celebrated not ridiculed.
