The Perfect Match: After Weeks Of Jerry Jones Teasing A Major Move, George Pickens Finally Gets Traded To The Cowboys For A Couple Picks

Yep, this is the perfect trade. It has nothing to do with what Pickens can bring as a WR2 to Ceedee Lamb or the Steelers finally moving on from him. This is strictly from a content standpoint. You got George Pickens playing for Jerry Jones while also adapting to life as a WR2? Yeah, sign me up. We already have every single Cowboys game on prime time TV it seems, so might as well make them the most entertaining team while never winning shit.

I am surprised this is all they got for him though. The football trade market still doesn't make a ton of sense to me. Guys randomly go for mid-level draft picks and everyone starts to yell fleeced. I know a lot of it is contract based and money based, but my mind still works in NBA/MLB world.

This is even funnier when you remember the Pickens headlines

You get the point. He's a lunatic, who has shown flashes of being good. He's not a WR1, even if he thinks he is. At least everything should run smoothly when it comes time to a new contract

I'm pretty sure we all can figure out how the season is going to go for both teams involved here. The Steelers have a WR1 who will lose his mind from time to time, still no QB and questions about Tomlin. 9-8, maybe 8-8-1. The Cowboys made a popular trade, Jerry Jones will have a shit eating grin and on TV everywhere. 9-8. The perfect match.
