'I'm Definitely Not Better Than Him Right Now' - Jordan Spieth, Boldly Admitting The Truth, After Scottie Scheffler Tied The Lowest 72-Hole Score In PGA Tour History

There are very few things Scottie can do at this point in his career that will shock me. I know he needs more majors, but he's reached the point where I just expect him in contention at every Tournament, setting records out of nowhere, exactly what happened over the weekend. Scottie back in Texas, finally getting his win on Tour this year and doing it by tying the record for lowest score during a 72-hole Tournament.

But it's more than just that. It's Spieth, who had a good day yesterday:

It's him openly admitting that he's for sure not better than Scottie right now

Very bold indeed. Hate to break it to Spieth, but it's been a few years of this. He hasn't been better than Scottie since about 2019? That feels about right. I will say, it's a great answer. It's an honest answer. Spieth put up one of his best rounds in his career, still gave the correct amount of talk to Scottie.

We're two weeks away from the PGA Championship. I think most people agree the PGA is the 4th of the 4 majors, but this one has a ton of storylines. One of those includes Spieth going for the career grand slam, the same thing Rory just won at the Masters. Spieth obviously has been dealing with a wrist injury and then fell off a bit from his peak, but every so often I forget that he still has those other majors. See, he's already inspiring me. I'll say Jordan Spieth is a better golfer than me right now too. Credit where it's due.

Scottie, the man is absurd.
