Need Everyone On The Giants To Listen Closely To Malik Nabers' Request: 'If I'm Open And Not Getting The Ball, We've Got A Problem'

[Source] - “I ain’t gonna speak on all receivers, but I’m gonna speak on — F—k it, I’m speaking on all receivers,” Nabers said. “We all feel the same way. We don’t like not getting the ball.”

Nabers said that when coaches tell receivers they’re going to get the ball seven times in a game, they begin doing math in their heads to calculate how that will help them get to milestones “so I can get paid.” If things don’t pan out that way, Nabers said that isn’t going to sit well with him.

“You told me I was going to get the ball,” Nabers said. “I’m getting open and I’m not getting that pill. We’ve got a problem. We’ve got a problem. . . . I ain’t playing about that ball.”

Someone get this message to Russell Wilson, Jaxson Dart, Jameis Winston, Tommy DeVito, Phil Simms, Jeff Hostetler, Kent Graham, Dave Brown and any other former Giants quarterback not named Eli Manning. The goal is simple. Get Malik Nabers the ball. Malik Nabers should have the ball as much as possible, mostly because he's fucking awesome. 

It does sound a little dramatic the way Nabers is saying it here, but he's right. Every NFL player has those bonuses in their contracts and nobody more than wide receivers know about stats and money. He even admits he's speaking for all of wide receivers. He knows they all want the ball, thinks they are open at all times and will freak out if they don't get the ball. Nabers goes even deeper though talking about how they do math to know what they need in order to get paid and then freak out from there. 

I said it during the Draft, I have hope again for this franchise. It's a huge step from the apathy I've had the last couple of years because of Daniel Jones and all the shit going on around this franchise. But, you make the smart move with Abdul Carter, you trade up for your quarterback of the future, you made smart signings, you added depth and you have a star. The star is Malik Nabers. He's the guy you run your offense through. Make sure you pay him so he doesn't go to Washington with Jayden Daniels. Get him the ball.
