The Pacers' Front Office Has Banned Tyrese Haliburton's Dad From Attending Home/Road Games For The Foreseeable Future
The official punishment has been handed down from the Pacer's front office after Tyrese Haliburton's dad walked onto the court waving a towel in Giannis' face like matador taunting a bull. Somehow in a game where Indiana overcame a deficit no team had ever come back from thanks to Tyrese Haliburton's late game heroics, the storyline was Giannis and John Haliburton's post game confrontation.
Every sports talk show and internet personality was weighing in on what they thought John Haliburton's punishment should be, including Ryan Clark who said Mr. Haliburton should be BANNED FOR LIFE from basketball games.
Obviously parents of players shouldn't be walking onto the court to confront players, Haliburton was wrong. He admitted it, his son admitted it, but BANNED FOR LIFE is crazy. I've got no problem with the Pacers saying he won't be able to attend the rest of the playoffs, which I assume is what the foreseeable future means, but anything longer than this season is too much. It's his own damn fault, but sucks he won't be able to watch the biggest games of his son's career. If you watch Pacers games (almost none of you, at least any talking head "basketball expert") then you know Mr. Haliburton is in attendance for almost every Pacers game, and is a spark plug that gets this team going. Yeah, he made a huge mistake, but John will be missed. Also, if Giannis and Mr. Haliburton did end up fighting at center court, I'm taking the long odds on Mr. Haliburton +100,000. Dude looks like a scrapper who has seen some shit in his day.
