He's Back - Michael Block, The Guy Who Dominated The 2023 PGA Championship, Shot -4 To Qualify For This Year's Tournament At Quail Hollow
If you watched one second of the 2023 PGA Championship, you know who Michael Block is. If somehow you didn't, Block is the PGA Pro who became the only club pro to make the cut at Oak Hill, got an ace on Sunday while playing with Rory and finished tied for 15th.
People turned on him ... fast.
Now that his one year exemption is up, he had to go through qualifying. Finished 4th and we got him back in the PGA Championship again at Quail Hollow. I say this almost as a warning. Read this blog and you know you're going to see Michael Block shots on that Thursday. Real story is the dude who won by 10 strokes though
I don't care what level you're playing. You dominate the entire field like this, you have my attention.
But there's the list of 20 PGA pros joining the PGA Championship. Again, I'm telling you now so you can be prepared for the first Michael Block cut in. No complaining that you were caught off guard. I do love the tournament for the PGA pros, but nothing tops the longest day in golf and US Open qualifying. That's coming up next month and the names you'll see there makes it even better. But two weeks from now we're in Quail Hollow and Block is there with us.
