Face Of The League - Anthony Edwards Took A Victory Lap Around LA, Talking Shit With Fans And Declaring 'Matilda' His Favorite Movie

Hold on a goddamn second here. Did this man just declare Matilda his favorite movie? Forget the shit talking with fans or anything else happening. The fact that Anthony Edwards, basically the face of the league, is out here ignoring Boyz n the Hood questions to talk about Matilda. That man knows content. There's also zero doubt that he's lying here. You don't lie and say Matilda is your favorite movie, you only say that if you truly believe it. It's too random of a movie, it's too out there to just think of on the fly. He's also said it before: 

You don't keep that sort of lie up for this many years about a movie like Matilda. Something else that's not this out there? Sure. But the man just loves Matilda.

It's one thing to get cooked by this version of Anthony Edwards: 

It's another thing to get cooked by the guy claiming Matilda is his favorite movie. It's all I'm going to think about for at least the next 20 minutes. What other superstars are hiding their secret favorite movies? Someone out there has to have like Little Giants or something like Dunston Checks In. This is perfect for Ant too. The man ended Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, Bradley Beal and Nikola Jokic last year in the playoffs. This year he took out Luka and LeBron. Then he went home and slapped on the 1996 box hit featuring Danny DeVito, Matilda. 

I do love this move and it's really only one that Anthony Edwards can pull off. Walking around the arena of the team you sent home, cracking jokes and talking shit is an elite move. I'd love to see more of it, but not sure how many guys can pull it off and look cool. That's the key here. Tyrese Haliburton doing this doesn't hit the same as Anthony Edwards.
