Detroit Local News Reenacting The Pistons Being Robbed In Game 4 Like It Was A Real Crime Scene Is Fantastic Reporting
Reags just blogged this, but he didn't include this gem from local CBS Detroit affiliate and their gumshoe reporter Rachel Hopmayer going full crime scene reporter from Little Caesars Arena parquet floor.
She took a page straight out of Dave's Highlights Without Rights playbook: Crime Scene Edition. Loved to see it.
Real talk. Am I happy the NBA has instructed its officials to swallow their fucking whistles, and let these men play physical now that its the post-season? You bet your ass. I couldn't be happier actually. I'm back to watching the NBA every single night, and being entertained as hell. It's like watching a completely different sport compared to what we were subjected to during the regular season.
But at the same time, are you kidding me with not calling a foul here?
I mean, there's incidental contact that doesn't affect the shot, but then there's that.
I don't care if you're the biggest Knicks homer in the world, Tim Hardaway Jr. definitely drew contact on that three.
Not to mention, if you can't get that call, on your home floor, then what the fucks the point of home-court advantage anyway?
Were the Pistons winning this series? No probably not. But that doesn't mean the referees should be the ones deciding that.
Sad.
p.s. - some of the highlights without rights vids I could find. dunno why we ever stopped these
