1. Duster (Max, May 15th)
The series, set in the Southwest in 1972, follows the FBI's first Black woman agent (Rachel Hilson) working to stop a crime syndicate with the assistance of a talented getaway driver (Josh Holloway).
You tell me JJ Abrams is coming back to do TV with Josh Holloway in a lead role and my ass will be in the seat on day one. Looks like a badass 70s cop story and I'm down for that.
2. Commando (Hulu, May 9th)
A retired Special Forces colonel tries to save his daughter, who was abducted by his former subordinate.
This movie is worth it for the one liners alone but also has some actually fun action sequences. Nothing wrong wth watching a bunch of practical effect explosions.
3. Another Simple Favor (Prime, May 1st)
Stephanie Smothers (Anna Kendrick) and Emily Nelson (Blake Lively) reunite on the beautiful island of Capri, Italy, for Emily’s extravagant wedding to a rich Italian businessman. Along with the glamorous guests, expect murder and betrayal to RSVP for a wedding with more twists and turns than the road from the Marina Grande to the Capri town square.
I liked the original movie quite a bit so I was pretty excited when they announced the sequel. However, I've heard they make one of the most batshit insane creative calls in this movie (in a bad way) which simultaneously bums me out and intrigues me.
