Brandon Beane Called Into A Buffalo Radio Show And Absolutely Lit Up The Hosts For Bitching About The Bills Wide Receivers
Talk that shit, Brandon! Talk that shit!
Now truth be told, I don't have a dog in this fight since I really don't have many opinions about the happenings of Buffalo sports outside of that I am hoping those wonderful Western New York Wildlings can experience a Super Bowl championship soon. But I do love sports talk radio hosts getting called out for their shit considering all the nonsense I have to hear about my teams from the local hosts whenever a clip appears on social media (I stopped listening to sports radio once Numbah One retired).
Which is why this clip hits so good. Brandon knows that these guys have to fill the airwaves with takes and as someone that had to blog the dark days of the Knicks, I can tell you that negativity always leads to the biggest numbers. So ripping apart a wide receiver depth chart that looks like this for a contending team makes sense.
Brandon also has to stand up for himself and his guys, which he does by reminding everyone that numbers never lie after the Bills scored a bazillion points last season. Sure every person that had a Bills wide receiver on their fantasy team last season lost their fucking mind when they saw the Bills score 30+ points yet their receiver didn't scratch 3 fantasy points. But that's just how that stupid ass game goes sometimes.
However it's the Josh Allen call out that I appreciate the most because it's a reminder that any time somebody has an awful take that you were right about, you should bring it up in an argument. As crazy as it sounds now, drafting Josh Allen over Josh Rosen took balls. Sure Allen had the size, the arm, and the website (DraftJoshAllen.com). But Rosen had the hype because I guess he seemed more polished and had a hot tub in college. To be honest, I forgot a lot about that draft because my team took a running back at 2, got clowned for drafting said running back at 2, then got clowned when they let said running back walk in free agency instead of offering him a giant contract which he got from a division rival before leading said division rival to a Super Bowl behind one of the greatest seasons a running back has ever had.
But I digress. Brandon Beane using the Josh Allen card on guys who didn't want Allen let alone wanted Rosen is exactly what every person should do. Beane should not only use that card on radio hosts picking him apart but he should use it on his friends, his coworkers, and even his wife if she's giving him shit about something. Yeah he may not have taken the garbage out or forgot to get her flowers for Mother's Day. But he was the one who submitted Josh Allen's name to the NFL office on draft day seven years ago and given Bills fans their best run since Jim Kelly was QB1 decades ago. So keep talking your shit Brandon Beane (but maybe get Josh one more receiving threat next year unless you actually believe Josh Palmer is that guy).
