A Yearly Tradition - Wrexham Became The First Club To Ever Get Promoted In Three Straight Seasons, One Tier Away From The Premier League Dream

I know people may have soured on Wrexham because of the whole Blake Lively lawsuit or Ryan Reynolds or people screaming about the money invested. Whatever. They still win and I'm a simple man when it comes to sports. I can watch a story develop and if you win, that's what I think of. Either way, we witnessed history over the weekend.

Wrexham is the first team to get promoted three years in a row. Absurd, no matter what you want to say about buying titles or anything like that. You still need to win. You still need players to show up. It's similar to how people scream about 'buying players' in the transfer portal. You still gotta make shots in the NCAA Tournament. Still gotta win 6 in a row. Chief talked about their money situation here:

Phil Parkinson, the Wrexham manager who has been there forever summed it up perfectly

Yes, they have the TV show and the sponsors and everything that comes along with being Hollywood FC. But you still gotta let a guy like Parkinson run the team. You gotta just get out of the way and let those who know the sport do the thing. They've done it. That's why they are in the Championship, one tier away from the Premier League dream. A dream that was said from the very beginning. And, yeah, I'd be shocked if it happens. The level of talent in the Championship is absurd. But we're now 3-for-3 in Wrexham promotions, so who knows. At some point they could be back in the Premier League.
