Mel Kiper Once Again Crashed Out, Chastising The NFL After Shedeur Was Drafted

Mel Kiper is legitimately hilarious. Did he have a billion dollar future on Shedeur? All of night one he ranted and raved about Shedeur falling. All of Day 2 he preached like a southern pastor about Shedeur. And then today, after Shedeur was finally picked, he still was moved close to tears, yelling at the NFL for the travesty of Shedeur falling to the 5th round. I have never seen anything like it.

And what's hilarious is people are saying "Mel Kiper will never recover from this. Mel Kiper MUST retire". Uhhhh, first time? Mel Kiper is clearly a legend. He's very good on TV. But the guy has been wrong for 40 years. He's hitched his wagon to a ton of guys who never panned out, and it's forgotten rather quickly. I have a feeling this one won't be because of how massive the Shedeur story got and how emotional Mel was about it. But it's not like he hasn't been down this road before.

Mel will be just fine.

And hey, congrats to Shedeur! Couldn't have been an easy last few days for him. Was it brought on himself? Yeah, mostly. And by all accounts his pre-draft interviews were awful. But hey, he got drafted into the NFL, which was his dream, so the jokes can end I guess. Was a fun ride though.
