Tommy Pham Has Been Suspended One Game For Excessive Stroking After Making An Inappropriate Gesture To A Fan That Reached Over And Touched Him Mid-Game

It's 2025 and we STILL have folks messing around with Tommy Pham, I think it's well documented that Pham is NOT the person you want to try and mess with, he was put on this earth pretty much just to try and fight people. Every single season we get some story about Pham threatening to knock a dudes teeth out, or bitch slapping a player over fantasy football, it's always something with Pham.

Apparently Angels fans didn't get the memo not to mess with Pham because one of them reached over and tried to grab him with their glove while he was making a play in the corner in Anaheim the other night. Rule #1 is you never, ever, ever touch a player. Especially during the game, that's loser shit man. Let these guys play the game, but for some reason this fella and his glove scraped the back of Pham's jersey and that was enough to get Pham to react to said fan. He hadn't even thrown the ball back in yet and was starring daggers through the fan. This guy slapped another baseball player, you think he isn't afraid to put his hands on a fan? My god what a dumb decision.

He heads back to his position and the TV camera catches Pham giving the fan a hand gesture, some excessive stroking if you will. I'm on Tommy's side here too, you don't touch the players, this isn't a petting zoo. Of course the camera happened to catch said hand gesture, that's how it always works. It seems like someone in the stands was still going at Pham, which is strange because they were the ones in the wrong. I think Pham is wrong 99/100 times usually, he always finds himself in these situations, but this one isn't on him. If there is one guy not to mess with in baseball, it's Pham. He'd have no problem climbing into the stands if someone tried to pull the stuff that happened to Mike Trout or Mookie Betts on the pop ups near the fans. Luckily this fan only got a stroking gesture and didn't end up knocked out.

As to be expected, the league wasn't thrilled with him doing that towards the fan and suspended him one-game for the slow jerk. He's going to appeal it but my guess is it holds up, not something you really want to get caught doing to a fan.
