"I Think The Dirty Player Is Draymond Giving Him A Little Push" - Dillon Brooks Calling Draymond Green A Dirty Player Is Both Hilarious And Exactly What We Need Heading Into Game 3

Let's start with the good news. Based on the latest update from Jimmy Butler's MRI, it looks like he's avoided major injury as a result of his scary fall the other night

Given how it looked in the moment, I'd say that's about as good a result as you could have hoped for. Maybe he still misses Game 3, but it doesn't sound like this is something that is going to keep him out for the whole series or beyond should GS advance. That's a positive.

As if there already wasn't enough bad blood between these two teams, I'd just like to thank Dillon Brooks for doing Dillon Brooks things and pouring gasoline all over the fire as we prepare for tomorrow night

Of course, this is funny for a variety of reasons. First and most importantly, look who is saying this quote. Dillon Brooks calling Draymond Green a dirty player is basically the Spider Man gif

I suppose you could say that if anyone knows what a dirty player looks like it'd be Dillon Brooks, so maybe he's onto something there. I mean, does anyone disagree? We've all seen Draymond Green play. Both he and Brooks are habitual line steppers when it comes to a dirty play or doing something that might have some plausible deniability but everyone who watches it knows was a dirty play. They walk that fine line every time they play, it's part of their role/persona as NBA players.

This is also funny to hear from Dillon Brooks considering ya know….this is also Dillon Brooks

Pretty sure you're not allowed to do that in basketball.

There's also the issue of the fact that what he's saying happened……didn't actually happen. In that Amen Thompson play, it sure doesn't look like he was pushed by Draymond, but rather he tripped over Steven Adams' feet and his momentum carried him into Butler since he was crashing the glass

So while I never want to be in a position to do anything that even comes close to defending the antics and actions of Draymond Green, I can't in good faith say he pushed Amen on that play. I'm fully behind Brooks' claim that Draymond is a dirty player, but that play specifically is not one I think you can use to make your case.

All I know is this is the exact type of drama/shit talking that I want to see heading into Game 3. That game is going to be a war, and you just know the second there's any sort of opportunity for Draymond to respond with one of his questionable antics, he's going to take advantage. Then, in retaliation, you know Dillon Brooks is going to do the same thing. Shit, he's already had his moments so far in this series

Given how crucial this game is for both sides with the series tied 1-1, I am fully expecting chaos right from the opening tip. I give it 4-5 minutes before we get the first incident between these two, so get your popcorn ready
