Longtime Boston Reporter Tom Curran Claims "North Carolina Staff Are Not Loving The Bill Belichick Experience"

Fox News - It's no secret Bill Belichick runs a tight ship, but his style is apparently rubbing some people in Chapel Hill the wrong way. Belichick, who turned 73 Wednesday, took the UNC football coaching job in December after the Tar Heels moved on from Mack Brown.

The 2024 football season was Belichick's first away from the sideline in nearly 50 years. He had some interviews but never got a job and eventually took the season off, other than some media appearances.

Belichick has been on the job for about five months, and, according to one reporter who covered Belichick with the New England Patriots, some "everyday employee[s]" aren't fond of what's going on.

"From rumblings I heard — and this is not recent, and this a month or two ago — they’re not loving the Bill Belichick experience. If you’re an everyday employee down there, which is probably what a lot of the people here in 2000 felt when Bill came aboard and said, ‘I don’t know if I like this,' it’s uncomfortable," Tom Curran said on WEEI this week.

The Athletic recently obtained emails in which Hudson showed concern about fans attacking Belichick and his personal life. Belichick also asked UNC employees that Hudson be copied on emails.

First off, Happy Birthday Coach. Nobody sends well wishes and pays their respects with toxicity and negativity quite like Bostonians. Even when he’s gone, they still find a way to show how much they care. Brings a tear to the eye.

I’m well aware this is Jerry’s territory, but anytime crumbs like these fall off the table, and go uneaten, this dog is going to pounce.

Plus, Jerry is incapable of shooting our beloved readers straight when it comes to Belichick. I’m pretty sure he would leave his wife for Bill, so how can we expect him to call a spade a spade here?

All of that said,I’m going to play Devil’s Advocate here.

First- in defense of Belichick- what in the fucking world did you guys think you were getting yourselves into exactly?

I know college football is the religion in the south, and the NFL is second fiddle, but you’ve had to be living on Mars the past 20 years to not have an inkling of how Belichick operates.

So you’re telling me the guy raised at a Military academy, who’s valued and greatly admired the pragmatics and discipline of the military his entire career has brought those same dogmas with him to Chapel Hill?

You don’t say.

The guy who would allow himself to enjoy a Super Bowl victory for about 36 hours before focusing on the draft and training camp and wiping his memory clean of the prior year’s success is locked in and hell-bent on turning Tar Heel football into the pride of the ACC, and a legitimate national program?

If you guys wanted “rah-rahs” and atta-boys you should have hired Pete Carroll. He was very available.

You should have left Bill alone and let us enjoy his blossoming television career.

Instead you dragged him back to coaching, stuck him with a fixer-upper, and want to whine and cry that he’s taking a sledgehammer to the walls and framework.

Plus, it’s not like he’s Bear Bryant out there trying to kill kids making them run two-a-days in full pads, in 95 degree weather. (Yet.)

He’s got Weezy F Baby dropping by practice-

He’s got what’s sure to be just the beginning of the NFL talent he’s got, stopping by-

And he’s mic’d up, dropping gems like these for crying out loud-

You committed to a school whose AD is named Bubba, (no offense), and you wind up getting the greatest coach who’s ever lived taking over the program and teaching you?

Seems like a pretty good deal to me.

Figure it out guys.

(Sidebar- I’ll never forget Roosevelt Colvin telling me about the difference going from the Bears to Patriots, and what a total culture shock it was for him. The biggest surprise to him was how well Belichick and his staff ran practices. He said he’d never seen anything more productive at any level. He said every single second of every single minute was utilized. Not a single second wasted. Nobody standing around waiting for instructions, or coaches to discuss things and figure shit out. They treated practice sessions like each one was a game. They had a game plan, scripted out, gone over before they headed out of the locker room, completed the objectives, then regrouped and assessed. Sounds like the military no?)

Now, in defense of North Carolina staff and player personnel, and hell, even alums and fans- I’m pretty sure nobody signed up for this.

Nobody can stand the girl that has dated your buddy for 2 months and already completely dominates him. You all know the exact type.

“WE didn’t love that restaurant, the AC was too cold.”

“WE decided Pete looks better in neutral tones, so we overhauled his whole wardrobe.”

“WE love to watch Bravo after work. It’s OUR guilty pleasure.”

If Bill is letting this shit fly- his 24 year old girlfriend prance around his practice field in patent leather knee highs, emailing staff and media relations instructing them on how to refer to her boyfriend, one can only imagine what’s going on at home.

She probably has him crawling around the house on a leash, drinking out of a dog bowl.

And every last one of you is a damned liar if you say you wouldn’t be doing the same.

My theory is that Jordan Hudson was sent from the underworld by Don Shula to destroy Belichick.

TL/DR: pussy stays undefeated
