If You Think Tyrese Haliburton Is Overrated Then Just Admit You're A Smooth Brained Hater Who Doesn't Know Ball
I should be focusing my energy on Game 2 of the Bucks vs Pacers series, but instead I woke up to a clickbait Athletic article from some spineless NBA players who want to talk shit while remaining anonymous. Attach your name to this poll, or shut the fuck up. I didn't want to give this the time of day. Yeah, I could throw up a blog and pad my stats, but if we keep giving the time of day to stupid shit the Athletic does, I'm part of the problem. Be the change you want to see in the world. It ends here.
Unfortunately Greenie took the rage bait hook, line, and sinker. I commend him for being on the right side of history and having Haliburton's back. I guess when you've seen Jayson Tatum get the same treatment, you've got to look out for others around the league getting weird NBA twitter hate.
BUT, now I've worked myself up, and here I am in the trenches loading ammo into clips for these cowards. I shouldn't even be wasting my time on 13 out of 90 players who for whatever reason voted a kid who has surpassed assist / turnover milestones that put Tyrese above CP3 and John Stockton. The 90 players who also said Haliburton was as overrated as names like *checks notes* Giannis and Lebron James. Top 3 players in the league and the face of the franchise for the last 20 years. What bad company to be named with. If the poll is guys you don't like, sure. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But again, attach your name to it.
Haliburton is a true point guard, it's crazy how undervalued assists are. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills when people only look at scoring and under value the assist.Have these guys watched Pacers game? (I should just stop there) but have these guys watched a Pacers game without Haliburton? The team STINKS without it's engine. He's doing his job. Are there times when he could be more aggressive and take over the game, sure, but Haliburton just turned 25 and is in his second ever playoff run. He's still figuring it out, and still taking his team to the ECF. Haliburton is perfectly rated, if anything he's UNDERRATED based on the fact that it's become the cool thing for the internet and "experts" to shit on him. Brilliant for The Athletic to post this right before Game 2 because bullshit like this is only poking the bear.
