BACK: Justin Thomas Ties The Course Record On Thursday, Drills A 21-Footer In A Playoff On Sunday To Win His First Tournament In 1,064 Days

Bang. What a week for Justin Thomas. Dude went out and did this on Thursday:

Yesterday he called a penalty on himself, because golf rules can be really dumb:

I get it, but still, you get the point. Then today he ended up in a battle with a bunch of different guys. Si Woo Kim had the overnight lead before falling off. Scottie tried making a run, Fleetwood stared hot before going into the water and then obviously the duel with Andrew Novak. Not just Andrew Novak, but a bunch of people on the course cheering for him, considering Novak is a South Carolina guy. Novak had a chance to win on the last hole before pushing his birdie putt.

Playoff goes back to 18 and Thomas finally delivered. It's a perfect putt. I'm a JT guy too. I love having him figuring it out and competing again. Far too long we heard he was washed, didn't deserve a Ryder Cup bid, all that stuff. Finally got a win at arguably the best non-major tournament.

Back-to-back weeks with guys ending streaks, back-to-back weeks of playoffs. Give me this portion of the golf schedule all year. It's been awesome the last couple of weeks, which isn't shocking considering Harbour Town always delivers. Shout out Justin Thomas for that win. That was awesome.
