Well folks, this is it. Welcome to a world where the only thing that matters in all of life, is 16 wins. That big assignment you have at work? Sorry, those TPS reports are going to have to get in line. That big homework assignment or paper you have to write? Sorry, school is fake, that no longer matters. 

For the next two months, one thing and one thing only is what matters. Stacking 16 Ws. Anything less, and the year is a failure. The last time we saw the Boston Celtics play a playoff game, they were beating the shit out of the Mavs to secure the ever elusive Banner 18. It was a moment in which we saw legacies get stamped forever. It was a moment that brought things full circle and restored order throughout the NBA with the Celtics returning to their rightful place atop the playoff mountain. 

16 wins, that is what stands between this team and a level of history only reserved for the true Gods.

Defending your title is a different type of challenge from trying to get your first. As hard as that was, and as well as you played, this new journey will be 10x harder. It will require you to tap into an even higher level of basketball dominance. There's a reason nobody has done it in 7 years and no Celtic team has done it in 50+ years. It's hard as shit.

If there's one team out there that you know welcomes the challenge and the difficulty of what the Celts are about to try and accomplish, it's the one that is led by this man

It's not going to be easy. It's not always going to be pretty. But that's the type of shit that has molded this group. They've gone through the battles, they've taken their losses on the chin, and time after time after time, they fought back until they became Champions. 

They are the rightful Kings of the NBA, something that was earned, not given. They've reached the top of the mountain, and they did it together as one. A type of wagon that no team in the league has proven they can beat 4 out of 7 times. 

Which brings us to today. Game 1 of the first round. An important step in the journey up the playoff mountian, it all starts here. You do not look ahead, you do not skip steps. You can't win 16 without winning 1, and the time has come for this team to defend its title and once again remind all challengers that they're in for a world of pain.

All these teams supposedly want the crown?
