Justice For The Cut Throat Cowboys, Who Were Arrested For Riding Their Emotional Support Horses Through Walmart
NY Post - Four men – who dub themselves the “cutthroat cowboys” – were saddled with charges after a viral video captured the young troublemakers riding their “emotional support” horses through a Louisiana Walmart.
Police were on the hunt for the hooligans after wild footage showed the group on horseback trotting past the cashiers and down the aisles of the big box store in Baker Tuesday night as stunned shoppers and employees watched on, according to the nearly 40-second video shared by WBRZ 2.
Two of the riders – Mason Webb, 18, and a juvenile offender – turned themselves in to police after warrants were issued for their arrest. Brendon Bridgwater, 24, and Patrick Derozan, 22, surrendered to authorities Friday morning, according to the Baker Police Department, multiple local outlets reported.
After his arrest, Webb told WBRZ 2 that his “cutthroat cowboys” squad had no real reason for entering the chain store on horseback — other than it being something “fun” to do.
“It was fun, we were famous. That’s all,” the wily lawbreaker said.
“We didn’t wanna hurt nobody…We always ride to Baker, and we just wanted to do it that day. That’s my emotional support animal.”
The four frontiers were each charged with entering and remaining after forbidden, unlawful post of criminal activity and disturbing the peace.
Justice for the Cut Throat Cowboys. If you're looking for someone to disparage a group of upstanding gentleman for respectfully riding their stallions through a local Walmart, you've come to the wrong place. Consider me the Cut Throat Cowboys biggest supporter. The Cut Throat Cowboys weren't trying to hurt anyone. They always ride through Baker. That day they just so happened to be conducting their business out by the Walmart. I'm sure one of the cowboys probably realized he was low on sugar, and figured they'd pop in the store while in the area. Saved themselves an extra trip. Those horses weren't causing any problems. I bet the Cut Throat Cowboys and their horses provided nothing but joy and amusement for 90% of the patrons & employees in Walmart that day. Who wouldn't crack a smile if they looked up and saw a friendly horse gang galloping down Aisle 12? As long as they didn't leave any large piles of manure, or engage in any stampeding. Which of course they wouldn't. Because as the leader of the Cut Throat Cowboys clearly stated, these are professionally trained emotional support horses. They're just as much "emotional support" animals as any of the "emotional support" weiner dogs you'll see any random girl walking through the aisles of a grocery store on any given day. Unless you're a real Karen of a person, if you were in the Baker Walmart when the Cut Throat Cowboys rode through, I bet you left that Walmart in a better mood than when you walked in.
It always makes me laugh to see a man riding a horse where horses aren't supposed to be. As long as the horse looks healthy. I can't condone the people who post up in Central Park with their poorly-fed, sickly looking horses selling cheap carriage rides to tourists. Horses don't belong in New York City. Unless you're one of the few people who can afford a safe, healthy location to house your horse in Manhattan. There's no need to have a horse here. I'm not even sure about the NYPD horses. Maybe there's a good reason police in New York ride horses that I don't fully realize. But from the outside looking in, I just don't see how a cop being on a horse in New York is benefiting them all that greatly. In my life, I've seen one video of an NYPD horse cop successfully chasing down a criminal. And even in that video, I'm not convinced the horse was all that necessary.
But Baker, Louisiana isn't New York City. The Cut Throat Cowboys' horses appear to be properly fed. I hope. I'd imagine you can safely own a horse in the Baker, Louisiana area. Unless someone can prove to me otherwise, I choose to live in a world where the Cut Throat Cowboys of Baker, Louisiana treat their majestic steeds with the love and respect that they deserve. I will say I don't love that they seemed to be lightly whipping the horses. That's making my facetious defense of the Cut Throat Cowboys a little more difficult. I'm just gonna go ahead and plow through that fact. Considering how well they seem to be in control of them inside that Walmart, I don't think that's too crazy of a thing to assume they know how to properly handle a horse? Maybe?
Idk. But it's a shame they got arrested. Because if there were just one state over in Texas, where the Walmarts are chill and don't complain a little bit of horseplay. They would have been fully within their rights to horse around inside the establishment.
Justice for the Cut Throat Cowboys. I guess. Idk. I'm a simple man. I see a group of men riding horses though Walmart, and I laugh. I won't apologize for it.
