Man Of The People - Wolves Manager Vitor Pereira Embraces A 'Points First, Then Pints' Motto And Shows Up To A Pub To Celebrate With Fans

Gotta admit that the Premier League has been boring this year. Some of it is Tottenham being complete and utter ass, some of it is Liverpool kinda running away with the title. Whatever it is, I've just found myself having it on in the background instead of sitting down to watch a bunch of matches. One of the stories though is Wolverhampton. They were in 19th and relegation zone back in December when they moved on from Gary O'Neil and brought in Vitor Pereia.

Since then? Safe from relegation. That's really the goal here this season. You just gotta fight to stay alive in the Premier League for another season. But it's more than that. It's him starting a point first, then pints motto. He's embracing it showing up to the pub to celebrate with fans.

I love the move. I always love this move. I don't care what city you're in, what country you're in or what sport you're a fan of, showing up to a bar with fans is a smart move. It's how you win people over. Yeah, winning matters obviously, but this helps. It's like when people freak out over 'winning the press conference' on a new hire, it's all about keeping fans happy in the midst of a good run. Sure, they beat Tottenham (again, complete ass of a team), but this is how you do it. You embrace the fans and keep partying.

Plus, what's better than hitting a pub when times are good? He doesn't like being home alone, don't blame him. It's much better grabbing a few beers with people who are going to treat you like a king. Points first then pints is also an incredible motto to have.
