'He Can Retire Now' - Shane Lowry Is Apparently The Greatest Friend In The World After Shooting An 81, Still Showing Up To Celebrate With Rory

I'm not sure if I've ever said this, but outside of Tiger, Shane Lowry is my favorite golfer. Can't really explain why, just always loved the guy. Might be weird, don't really care. He just happened to be the guy I always found myself cheering for. Now, obviously, he sucked yesterday. 

That didn't stop him from celebrating with Rory, a guy who is one of his close friends. We had this story of him watching Rory and what it all meant. I don't know though, man. You just cost yourself a ton of money over the weekend. You shot an 81, you had a chance to make a run at The Masters heading into the weekend. Obviously the bogey on 17 and 18 ended up feeling like the disaster. He also had this rant: 

It's the one weird thing about golf. You're competing against yourself but also against every other golfer in the world. I know Lowry had no chance, especially the way he started on Sunday, but he has to be the best friend in the world. Making sure you stick around to celebrate with a guy who you didn't want to talk about a day before. Completely understandable why obviously. You're trying to beat Rory. You don't want to talk about Rory heading into the final round. 

Need some stories to come out from last night. You know these two ended up putting down numerous pints. Lowry trying to get rid of the weekend plus celebrating Rory. Dude is apparently just the nicest guy in the world. No chance in hell I'd be celebrating with my friends a mere hour after shooting an 81.
