'The Long Journey Is Over' - Rory Finally Avoids The Ultimate Choke, Wins The Masters On The 1st Playoff And Completes The Career Grand Slam

He finally did it. It took the shot of a lifetime.

It took the shot of a lifetime part two.

It took a playoff with another shot of a lifetime

Rory finally won The Masters, avoided the ultimate choke and completed the career grand slam. It's the 11-year drought. It's Pinehurst. It's the 80 in 2011. It's everything that people had ready to make fun of Rory for. Yeah, he had to go to a playoff, but it doesn't matter. Green jackets live forever. That's what Rory got. It makes sense why he was dropping to his knees and emotional on the playoff win. All we heard was he would never do it. He's the ultimate choke guy. He'd lose it again.

Rose misses, Rory was nails.

Think about where he was on Thursday. He went into the water and dropped all those strokes. Everyone thought he was toast. All it took was the consistency and ability to hold on. I mean, shit, he was the first person to win the Masters with 4 double bogeys I believe. That's why you get the emotion. That's why you get Rory losing his mind, and rightfully so.

What a Tournament too. Justin Rose did everything possible to hang around, shot out of his mind today and threw a dart in the first playoff. Rory just responded and was not ready to have his heart ripped out of his chest again. A birdie to win on the playoff, the history, everything.

What a Tournament. What a finish. 'I gotta go get a green jacket' will be remembered for history.
