Luka Doncic Could Barely Hold Back The Tears As He Watched His Tribute Video In His Return To Dallas

With all eyes on Luka Doncic and his return to Dallas, I think we all knew this was about to be an emotional night. Neither side wanted this trade to happen, not the player, not the fans, not anyone with a brain etc. It's always tough to see a franchise legend traded, it's unimaginable for it to happen to a 26 year old generational talent who had just carried the franchise back to the Finals. So when it came to his return/tribute/introduction, of course he was going to be showered with love. This isn't a bitter fanbase that now has to hate a player because he bolted for LA. It's a fanbase that's hurting and wishes him nothing but the best. They know he got rail roaded, and I'd say Luka's response to his tribute tells you all you need to know about how he feels

Holy moly. It really hits you how real this is seeing that reaction, and this is a trade that happened months ago. Luka has played a handful of games as a Laker already, but for some reason to my moron brain it didn't really feel "real" until that moment. Even if he's now happy in LA, it's clear how much this whole thing has crushed Luka which is completely understandable.

As expected, Luka was able to turn that pain into fuel and gave Nico Harrison a nice little reminder of what a moron he truly is. Everyone knew Luka would look to make a point in his return, and seeing as how he went crazy in the first half, I'd say his point was made
