"Only Person Who Does Weird Stuff And Talks Trash Is Dillon Brooks. That’s His Gimmick Though" - Jaylen Brown Certainly Did Not Hold Back During His Appearance On Million Dollaz Worth Of Game

If you haven't watched it by now, I cannot recommend Jaylen Brown's interview with Million Dollaz Worth Of Game enough. I'm going to go as far as to say that for any Celtics fan, it's about as must watch as must watch gets

He touched on it all, from the Olympics ordeal

to his predraft process of not having an agent and the difference he hopes to make for future athletes

and hey, seeing as how he did sign the once-upon-a-time richest contract in NBA history while also being an NBA Champion and Finals MVP, you could make the case that he knows what he's talking about.

Of course, as with almost every Jaylen interview, there was a fair share of viral quotes

with some classic Jaylen Brown unintentional shit talking mixed in. This time, it came via these supposed shots at both Jose Alvarado and Dillon Brooks, even though in my opinion, neither were really even shots at either player

The Alvarado one, OK maybe that one isn't fair. That dude can legitimately play. Even though he may be small, Jose Alvarado will fuck shit up on a basketball court. He's a menace defensively with quick ass hands, and he'll bury you from three if you let him catch a rhythm. He plays hard as shit at all times which in today's game I appreciate, and I've watched enough League Pass to know that he can change the momentum of a game by himself.

The Dillon Brooks part, I mean, where is the lie? Isn't that what Dillon Brooks is known for? Doing weird shit and then also talking a whole bunch of shit?

Being described as a player whose identity is to get under your skin isn't even a bad thing. That's a real role in the NBA, and Brooks has embraced that role while making a SHIT ton of money doing it. And sure, he did make 10 3PM the last time the Rockets played the Celtics as if that supposedly means he's not a general negative offensive player, but we all agree that's the fakest shit of all time considering he had never done that before in his career and he hasn't done it since.

That toughness, weirdness, and shit talking is part of what makes up the Rocket collective identity, and last time I checked, they were pretty fucking good. Why that's being spun as some sort of shot is weird, considering that's legitimately who Brooks is and who the Rockets are. Tough as nails, incredible defensively while being spotty offensively at times. That's a textbook Ime Udoka team, I know it when I see it. Hell, I lived it.

This all sort of reminds me of when Jaylen unintentionally shit all over the Pistons back on Media Day

an while we should credit to the Pistons for turning around their season, this wasn't a lie either. Payton Pritchard literally had 27/4/10 with 7 3PM against the Pistons back in December off the bench

Sometimes Jaylen just gets himself into these spots whenever he's behind the mic. It's never that serious, and he's usually telling the truth. Let's just hope that's also the case with his insane declaration to Taylor Rooks a few years back
