Whatever It Takes: Golfer On The Korn Ferry Tour Taped His Mouth Shut During His Round Today So He'd Stop Getting Angry At Himself

This right here is dedication. This is whatever it takes. You're grinding out on the Korn Ferry Tour, you can't risk getting mad at yourself every time you get out there. If that means taping your mouth shut so be it. It kinda worked. He shot even today. Sure, he's going to miss the cut because he's +1 for the Tournament and the cut line when I looked is projected for -3, the point still stands. 

You gotta figure it out. Golf is already the most frustrating sport in the world. I love it with all my heart, will never stop playing no matter what, but it'll piss you off. I don't care how good you are, how new you are to the sport, whatever. The moment you get out there and hit a couple tops, lip out on putts, blade a chip or two before getting to 18 and leaving with a par, you know the feeling. You want to lose your goddamn mind because it seems like it should be so simple. You try to listen to music, you try to think positive thoughts only, well, Ryan McCormick decided to tape his mouth shut. Don't hate the idea of trying anything when you're at that stage. 

The only problem here is you can't stop the inner dialogue. You can stop cussing, losing your mind, pissing off your playing partner. But the bad thoughts are still going to creep in your head. You gotta find a way to tape your brain in this scenario, which is impossible. Would have loved to see him and his caddie communicate more during the round though. He said they wrote down numbers, feel like you gotta go some sign language and head nods. Whatever it takes.
