Scumbags Need Not Apply: Howie Roseman Says The Eagles Won't Even Watch Film On Anyone Who Has Been Convicted Of Domestic Violence

"I'm not looking for the best players; I'm looking for the right ones" - Herb Brooks" - Howie Roseman

As we've seen over the years, there are a few ways to build a Super Bowl winning roster. For teams like the Patriots and Chiefs, it's a pretty simple recipe. All you need to do is have the best quarterback on the planet, and all the other pieces will fall into place. But what if you don't have the best quarterback on the planet? Don't get me wrong, I love Jalen Hurts and think it's more than reasonable to call him a top 5 guy in the league right now. With that being said, top 5 still isn't top 1.

If you're going to win a Super Bowl without the best quarterback on the planet, you need a great roster. But how many times have we seen great rosters completely fold like a cheap suit down the stretch? A lot of times, that's how many. A great roster is part of the recipe, but you also need to splash in a great culture as well. And the best way to make sure your team has a great culture is if you limit the amount of scumbags in your locker room.

Are there some guys on the Eagles' roster who have probably gotten into a little bit of legal trouble throughout their life so far? I mean....probably. 53 guys on one team, the percentages would say at least someone has gotten into a bit of trouble. Let's not forget the Eagles were the team to give Michael Vick another chance in the NFL. They're not a team that doesn't believe in 2nd chances, they just think guys who commit violence against women don't deserve that 2nd chance with them. You want to be a piece of garbage human who hits women but also just so happens to be really good at football, too? Go do it somewhere else, buddy. The Philadelphia Eagles respect the shit out of women just as much as they respect the shit out of winning football games. Nobody needs ya here.
