Give Us Golf: We Finally Get To Watch More Of The Masters On TV, Getting 9 Straight Hours Of Coverage During The Third/Final Rounds

I know right now most of us are stuck thinking about the Final Four. Fair. But, it's that time of the week where nothing is happening at the Final Four outside of a bus ride. So when I look outside my office window, see the sun shining, a golf flag in the distance I can hear the CBS Masters theme song. Quick break for that.

I don't know a person who doesn't like the Masters. I don't know a person who doesn't watch the Masters. You don't even have to be a golf person to know in early April, you slap on that sound, grab some pimento cheese and watch who wins the green jacket. In fact I'd argue more people need to start having Masters party. It's something we started with my group of friends recently and there are few things better on a Sunday in April than a reason to get together to watch golf.

But the problem with the Masters was always how hard it was just to watch it. We used to get minimal TV coverage and not wall-to-wall. It's way better now. Look at this year, we're getting nine hours straight over the weekend. We get expanded coverage, things are on streaming, sure, but it's better than just looking at the app like we had to back in the day. It's the perfect golf event with the perfect setting. You know the holes, you know where shots need to go and then all the history comes into play. I've been lucky enough to go one year and it's the ultimate bucket list event. There's nothing in the world like Augusta from the famous concession prices to no phones to realizing just how damn hilly the place is walking around. Can't believe it took this long for us to get this sort of coverage, but here we are. It's perfect and I can't wait for next week.
