Meechie Johnson Has Transferred From Ohio State to South Carolina After Transferring From South Carolina to Ohio State After Transferring From Ohio State to South Carolina

In an age where players in college football and basketball transfer at the drop of a hat and end their careers having played at four schools in five years, Meechie Johnson is both the embodiment and antithesis of the NIL era. He's transferring for the third time to play his sixth season of college basketball, but has managed to just transfer back and forth between two schools. The man knows what he likes.

After playing two years at Ohio State, Johnson transferred to South Carolina for his next two seasons. But then Johnson went back to Columbus for another year and has decided he could think of no better place to spend his final season of eligibility than right back at South Carolina. He uses the transfer portal like a kid going back and forth between his divorced parents' houses.

I hope Meechie gets a special half and half jersey for Senior Day featuring both of his schools. Anybody can transfer to three different schools and not have loyalty to any of them, but Johnson loves both of his institutions so much that he committed to each twice. A lot of these kids in the portal could learn a thing or two about allegiance from Meechie.
