Intramural Champ, Viral Interview, 2 Points: Florida Walk-On, Bennett 'Buckets' Andersen, Became The Breakout Star Of The NCAA Tournament

One of the best parts of the NCAA Tournament is you never know who becomes a breakout star. You don't expect a Dunk City to come into your life. You don't expect to try to teach people about Harold 'The Show' Arceneaux. And now this year we have our guy. Yeah, maybe it should be Walter Clayton, I mean he is the guy bailing Florida out in any late game scenario. You could convince me it's Thomas Haugh for basically keeping Florida in the game against Texas Tech before Clayton hit the shot we remember.

But, no, the star is clearly Bennett Andersen. The man has the nickname Buckets. I don't see anyone calling Walter Clayton that. I don't see Alijah Martin or Will Richard going viral for this interview:

This is Bennett Andersen's time to shine. I love the interview too. I don't get the whole flirty thing? Seems like the dude is pumped that he scored 2 points in the NCAA Tournament, which is the ultimate line for the next 50 years of your life. If I was a walk-on and scored in the NCAA Tournament I'd have a picture of that on every single shirt I wore. It wasn't against Norfolk State either, that was a Sweet 16 bucket. You earned the right to brag about that. The guy clearly knows his role, look at his bio. It has 2 bullet points and the second one is perfect for a walk-on

Dude had a dynasty in Gainesville before putting more and more time on the bench mob. This is the sort of guy that 1) I expect to see in our Barstool office one day and 2) the perfect March story. When you have blowouts in the second weekend give me a guy going viral for smiling at a reporter, having the nickname Buckets and wants to be a coach. Can play on my intramural team any day of the week.
