It's Time For America To Get Introduced To Joe Cravens, The Most Entertaining Man In College Hoops Who Once Got Ejected For Dancing In Front Of A Ref
Don't ask me how I fell into a rabbit hole, weird things happen when you work from home. But I got into a Joe Cravens rabbit hole somehow and I can't get enough of him. We know about Bill Raftery, who is the greatest man in college basketball. But very few know the name Joe Cravens and it's time we all get to know him a bit better. Why? He's the main analyst for the Big Sky Tournament aka Starch Madness.
But what really won me over with Joe Cravens? This clip I found, possibly the greatest ejection of all time back when he coached at Weber State:
Incredible. It's better than Boeheim at Duke. It's up there with Earl Weaver for ejections. If you start dancing in front of a ref to make fun of a block/charge call, you're going to win my heart. He goes all in on it too. It's not like he does it once, he starts hopping around. This is a leader, this is how you inspire your team back in the early 2000s.
I bring it up because it's that time of the year. People are going to tune into the Big Sky Tournament because it's March.
He's exactly who should be calling a Big Sky Tournament game after 11pm on the east coast. People are going to be introduced to Joe Cravens again this year and it's time to honor him. He's the most entertaining man in college hoops. He's got ridiculous sayings, he's a man who will dance in front of a ref, I can't get enough.
