After Erupting For 56 Points, Steph Curry Going Nuclear Is Still The Best Show In Sports

The internet ink was barely dry on my Steph Curry blog from earlier tonight, and it took all of what, an hour, for everything I talked about in that blog to immediately be proven true?
To anyone who pays attention, it was very obvious what that beyond half court buzzer beater signified. It told us that we were fucked. That Steph Curry, arguably one of the most terrifying basketball players on Earth, had regained his Dark Magic. If you've seen it once you've seen it a thousand times.
That play came right before halftime with the Warriors trailing the Magic, what do we think happened next?
How about 56 fucking points with 12 made 3s. Shame on Steve Kerr for robbing us of seeing NBA history and a new 3PM record (14) by not finding him a few more looks, but I guess this will have to do
Not only was this Curry's 14th career 50+ point game, he also extended his lead for the most 50 balls after the age of 30 (9) in all of NBA history. The next closest is Wilt with 7 if you were curious.
To this day, there's nothing like watching a basketball game when Steph Curry is on a heater. Nobody, and nobody defines "must watch" more than those moments. You can't look away for a single second when he's on the floor. Given he takes some of the most ridiculous threes the sport has ever seen, every single time he touches the ball you're on edge because that shit could be going up in a blink of an eye. You can feel it in the crowd whenever he has the ball, you can feel it with how defenses freak the hell out, everyone is holding their breath waiting for greatness to appear. It doesn't matter where he is on the court, and it doesn't matter what type of coverage the opposing team may be trying. When Steph Curry is on the type of heater like he was tonight, everything is on the table. You remember the Golden Dagger yes?
What's crazy is this dude is about to turn 37 years old. I'm pretty sure this should not still be happening at this pace, but Steph is another alien just like LeBron and KD. When you're an all time great that came up in this era, being dominant in your late 30s is possible. All I know is I watch those Steph highlights and I do not see a 36 soon to be 37 year old player who is even close to the end of his career.
What I do see is a problem. Prime Steph Curry is quite the matzah ball to deal with, and that's exactly how he looked tonight.
