The Newest Rumor We Have Is Today's Meeting At The White House Could Lead To LIV Players Playing PGA Tour Events, As Early As The Players Championship

So today was a meeting at the White House between PGA and PIF to try and get some deal going and we all have one tour again. That's really all I want. I miss watching the best vs the best. I miss seeing Hatton, Smith, Rahm, Bryson, Brooks, etc on a regular basis. I'm still going to watch all the events, it's something that's just always on in my house. But, I do hate seeing the constant 'does this win mean as much since it's not all the best players.' It's old and I'm a simple man. I want to watch the best golfers. 

Well, we have our newest rumor

The one problem here is LIV has an event that same weekend. I don't know how you work a deal when they are supposed to be playing there and still under contract. But I don't care about just the Players. Give me my one tour again. Let me put on a Thursday morning Memorial Tournament or something and see all the guys playing. I don't care about politics, I just want to enjoy what I enjoy the most, watching sports. I'm a 38-year old father who lives in suburbs, my life is basically how much golf can I play/watch at this point, especially after college basketball and get my two sons into the sport. Stereotype? Absolutely, yet I don't care. 

I'm pretty sure we've hit a point where every golf wants this. There's no LIV vs PGA feud among fans, at least for sure not the large majority. People love seeing them in the majors and seeing who wins. There's been plenty of talk of guys wanting one tour again. 

I also don't believe in the deal in principle until there's something signed. Feel like we've had too many rumors of this for far too long, but now it at least feels real if that makes sense. There's actual progress, or maybe I'm just blindly hoping for it again. The Full Swing executive producer says fire up the cameras, it's time to fire up the cameras. 

Once this is solved, let's get a shot clock going. Pace of the play is the problem we need to solve. Let's get someone on that fast.
