The Biggest "Where Were You When..." Sports Moments
It’s a new episode of KFC Radio this Tuesday, but this time with a twist for the history books…it’s being done from the Love Is Blind pods! Let me tell ya, if you thought there were some gay lover undertones between KFC and Feits already…you’re in for a treat this episode.
Anywho, that’s besides the point. The team was in LA for the recording of this episode, and it just so happened to be that they were there right as the Luka to LA trade was going down. Everyone agreed that it instantly became one of those “where you when?” moments in the history of sport. But what are some of the other sports moments from the last decade or so that made you instantly think the same thing? Let’s break it down.
Kobe’s Passing

It’s a shitty way to start things off, but if there’s a moment that garnered that reaction from the last decade…it was this. I remember you initially got the TMZ article and you hoped it was a hoax, but then the tweet came from the LA or California state police and it all sort of became real. Still doesn't feel real, he was going to be one of those guys who made just as big of an impact post career as he did during it.
Tiger Wins The 2019 Masters
I’m of the opinion that this will go down as one of the greatest sports moments of all time. People had been dancing on Tiger’s grave and calling his career for the better part of a decade, then he just comes out of nowhere and drops his nuts on all their faces. There are few things in sports like Tiger doing Tiger on a Sunday. I hope we get one more go around of it.
UVA Is the First One Seed To Lose To A 16
Did they win it the year after? Yes. Will it make people forget that this happened? No. Do I wish it didn’t happen so we could all laugh at Purdue for being the first 1 to lose to a 16 instead? Absolutely.
Pats Come Back From Being Down 28-3
I mean this list would lose what little validity it currently has if this game wasn't included on the list. The Pats now own 28-3 like Stone Cold Steve Austin owns 3:16. If there’s ever a game on TV and the score is 28-3, my mind instantly goes to that game. Maybe the only scoreline ever that can do that.
Curry Heat Check Against The Thunder
The only regular season game to make the list! I was going to put Lebron’s block against the Warriors in this spot, but I just don’t think it matches this Curry moment. For some reason I think that everyone in America was watching the game when that shot happened. You ask any sport fan, and they have a story about where they were for it. I personally had just come back from the beautiful 8th grade performance of The Lion King some of my friends had just put on.
If there was ever an episode of KFC Radio to seek out the YouTube for, it’s this one. Many are calling it the greatest crossover episode since That’s So Suite Life Of Hannah Montana. Give it a listen.
