Love This Old Virginia Fan Saluting The Crowd And Stopping To Shake Hands After Getting Ejected Mid-Play For Berating The Refs
This is the most exciting thing to happen in a Virginia basketball game this season. They suck, their games are unwatchable and yet here they are on national TV on a Monday. That's until the old man in a sweater decided it was his time. It was his time to berate Roger Ayers and whatever he said led to an immediate ejection. You know he earned it too. No security, no walk out, the man just said what he had to, turned around and walked out.
That's where I can't stop laughing. The salute is a good move. But then he just stopped to shake hands. Got halfway up the aisle before he saw someone he clearly knew and stopped like it was seeing them in a grocery store.
Hey Steve, good to see you. Yeah, family is doing well. For sure, we'll get together soon but I gotta run now. I just assume that's what was said here. You don't wear a sweater, roll up the sleeves and not say shit like that as you're walking out of an arena after getting ejected. Let it be known though if you see an older man wearing a sweater stomp towards the court and deliver a power point, you're about to get berated. He knew what he was doing and mission accomplished as far as he's concerned.
No idea what he said to Ayers to get ejected, but again, you don't walk away like that unless you know you deserved it. It did not help Virginia at all by the way. They have 43 points with 7 minutes left and down 30.
