'Where Is Your Fucking Toughness?' - Watch This Clip Of Rick Pitino's Halftime Speech And You'll Understand Why He's The Best Coach In The Game

This is why I want a camera and mic on some of these guys at all times. This is one of the better halftime speeches I've heard, which isn't shocking, because Rick Pitino is the best coach in the game. You could make an argument that Rick Pitino is the single best coach in college basketball history. Doesn't matter where he goes, he wins. Not sure how many coaches are better x's and o's than him, which again, all argument, but if you don't have Pitino in your top-5 all time list or Mt. Rushmore or whatever, you're wrong.

This clip is all from the new documentary following him and St. John's this season and this game is the 72-70 win over Providence back in December. Again, how do you not got fired up listening to Pitino here? Talking about adversity and to stop fucking sulking. Good. I do laugh at him saying he doesn't care if his players miss shots, mostly because St. John's shoots under 30% from 3, under 50% from the field and 68% from the free throw line. They are probably the worst shooting team in the country, so, yeah, hard to argue that he cares if they miss shots. They do all that and yet they are 22-4.

Do love his son chiming in again:

I can't believe people honestly thought Pitino wouldn't work out at St. John's. The dude just wins. Without a doubt the biggest 'what if' in college basketball is if Pitino doesn't leave Kentucky for the Celtics. Title in 96, lose in 97, they win in 98 in his first year gone. You're looking at a guy who might have won 5-8 with ease. Love this speech though. This is old school, this is what a coach should be doing to a team like St. John's and how they play. It worked too.
