He's Not Coming Home: Brad Stevens Reportedly Turns Down The Indiana Job, IU Fans Should Never Get Their Hopes Up

I can't believe it! I'm bewildered that Indiana fans spent days tweeting Brad over and over again, thinking that they would actually get Brad Stevens to leave the Celtics and become IU's head coach. If he was going to come back to college, why not just come home to Butler who has the same, if not more, success than Indiana this century? Feel like that would be more logical.

We just saw this play out. Louisville hired a guy from Charleston. Kentucky hired a guy from BYU. Indiana is a way worse job than those and they thought Brad Stevens would take the job? Even for a delusional fanbase, this was up there. It made no sense, even with the whole Celtics getting new ownership and having a new boss angle Indiana fans tried talking themselves into.

Good job though by Indiana. You made Brad Stevens say no publicly. Probably the biggest win IU has had since the last time he said no. Building a dynasty in Bloomington of photoshops of Brad Stevens in a red sweater turning you down. Just take it from a guy who went through a coaching search at a better job, a better program, a better standard than Indiana. Don't get your hopes up right away. You'll get told no, you won't even get Mark Pope, who is a genius. You failed a year ago by running it back with Mike Woodson and letting Dusty May go to Michigan. You'll get turned down again by someone. Can't believe the thousands of Brad tweets didn't work. Next time, in about 5 years, we'll run this back again.
